The Center for Human Development (CHD) is seeking Direct Care Staff to join our team at Hawthorn Adult Day Health program located in West Springfield, MA. The Hawthorn program is dedicated to helping people live life to the fullest. We provide medical services, plan social activities, or simply offer supervision so the regular caregivers of the individuals we serve can attend to other responsibilities. 

Your role as a Direct Care Staff:  

As a Direct Care team member, you will be working with adults with various medical and psychological needs. Supporting client's activities of daily living, organizing and implementing recreational activities including community outings, creating professional and supportive boundaries and utilizing problem solving skills 

Requirements Include: 

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred 
  • High School diploma or GED required 
  • Experience in the Human Services field is a plus. 
  • Ability to pass certification for CPR and First Aid. 
  • Reliable, registered & insured vehicle and approved driving record check. 
  • Approved criminal background check (CORI) 
  • Pass the preplacement work physical.

Shift available: Full time opportunity, Monday – Friday 8:00am-4:00pm. 

Pay rate is $20.50/hr. and includes a phenomenal benefit package that includes Dental, Health and Life insurance. Paid time off, earned vacation time and paid holidays just to name a few.
