Position Introduction:

The University of Oklahoma is seeking a skilled Painter to join our Facilities Management team. In this hands-on role, you'll help maintain and enhance campus buildings through painting, surface preparation, drywall repair, texturing, trim work, custom coatings, and overall aesthetic maintenance.

Responsibilities include preparing and applying paints and finishes, color matching, repairing and remodeling surfaces, conducting inspections, maintaining records and inventories, and performing preventive maintenance on paint shop equipment. This position may also assist with glass and mirror installation, carpeting, training team members, and other campus support duties as needed.

Required Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED or Trade School Certificate.
  • 24 months experience as a Brush Painter or closely related experience.

Required Certifications and Licenses:

  • Valid Oklahoma Driver's License in order to drive University vehicles or ability to obtain within 30 days from hire date.
