CEDA (Community and Economic Development Association) is a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering communities and improving lives across Cook County. We’re looking for a PIPP Case Manager to join our Energy Services Department and provide essential support to customers enrolled in the Percentage of Income Payment Plan (PIPP) — helping families stay safe, warm, and connected.

What You’ll Do:

As a PIPP Case Manager, you'll be a key link between CEDA, utility partners, and the households we serve. You’ll help customers understand and stay enrolled in the PIPP program, educate them about energy use, troubleshoot account issues, and refer them to additional support programs.

  • Guide clients through PIPP and LIHEAP program requirements

  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in person

  • Educate customers on reading utility bills and understanding energy usage

  • Communicate with utility companies to help resolve billing or service issues

  • Enter and update client data accurately in program systems

  • Refer customers to relevant CEDA services and energy efficiency programs

  • Stay current on PIPP and LIHEAP guidelines to ensure accurate information

  • Collaborate with team leads and supervisors to improve service delivery

  • Maintain confidentiality and a high standard of professionalism.

What We’re Looking For:

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • 1–2 years of experience in a customer service environment

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and database navigation

Preferred:

  • College coursework or vocational training

  • Experience in Energy Assistance Programs or human services
