Role Overview
The Senior Housing Occupancy Specialist coordinates and administers client services by managing complex cases, addressing client and landlord concerns, maintaining regulatory compliance, facilitating stakeholder collaboration, and ensuring accurate documentation to support successful program outcomes.
Job Responsibilities
  • Manage a client caseload and deliver direct service by responding to inquiries, providing program information, and addressing client and landlord concerns with sensitivity, urgency, and adherence to program policies. Resolve complex cases, complaints, and crisis situations by assessing needs, engaging appropriate support, and consulting with the supervisory chain to ensure compliance and effective outcomes.

Prepare and process correspondence, notifications, and documentation related to payment holds, reinstatements, and security deposit returns in alignment with program and regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate, up-to-date client records, files, and databases, ensuring full compliance with CCAC policies, program procedures, and all applicable regulatory and accrediting standards.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with landlords, vendors, and external partners to support service delivery, resolve issues, and ensure a high level of client service.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and cross-functional stakeholders to coordinate services, share information, and ensure alignment in program operations and client outcomes.
  • Oversee more complex cases as well as crisis situations, coordinate assignments, document workflow and maintain and update reports.
  • Engage in ongoing learning, training, and skill development, seeking and applying feedback to continuously improve performance and contribute to team and organizational success.

PLEASE NOTE: Essential functions include all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Kneel and move from sitting, bending, kneeling, or standing multiple times a day
  • Climb up and down up to 3 flights of stairs at a time
  • Lift, push, and pull up to 25 lbs

Education and Experience Requirements:
Minimum
  • Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in a related field of study 1-3 years relevant experience
  • Demonstrate prior subsidized housing experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Preferred
  • Master's Degree in Arts/Sciences (MA/MS) in a related field of study 3-5 years relevant experience
