Work Hours: Standard College hours are Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm; Additional hours, including evening and weekend hours, may be needed to meet the needs of the department.
General Summary: This position is responsible for project management,
annual and quarterly reporting, evaluation, and supervision of major tasks.
Direct the Title III Program in compliance with U.S. Department of Education
Title III regulations. Responsible for developing and implementing all program
components. Work with Title III staff on implementation and provide guidance on
achieving the measurable objectives. Supports the Academic Dean of Humanities,
Mathematics and Social Sciences as well as the Associate Vice President of
Enrollment Services and Student Affairs in the successful deployment of
strategic initiatives, including the design, implementation, support, and
continuous improvement of programs and services of the disciplines.
Within the division: Provides oversight for day-to-day
support for division faculty. Supervises and conducts all needed evaluations.
Provides support for developmental education. Oversee the REACH Mathematics
Facilitator, Reading/Writing Facilitator, and REACH Steering Committee. Member
of the following: Chair, REACH Steering Committee, and REACH Evaluation Team.
Grant Summary: Retain, Educate, Assess, Care, and Help
(REACH) Grant is a student intervention model for retention and success
specifically designed to support the success of all new students. Information
about REACH will be made available through the CCAC website, which complies
with accessibility standards, brochures, presentations, and publications.
Successful implementation of REACH will provide: (1) students with the
necessary skills in reading, writing, and mathematics to successfully complete
Gateway courses; (2) professional development to enhance student support in
writing and mathematics and for academic advisors; and (3) staffing to organize
orientation and campus engagement as well as help students identify resources
in order to meet academic and career-related goals
Requirements: Master’s degree in humanities, mathematics, and/or social sciences or related field required. Five years successful supervision, fiscal and project management experience. Experience with working with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Experience with college-level developmental education. Previous higher education experience advising or teaching students preferred.
