Job Overview

We are seeking an innovative and proactive AI-First Full Stack Java Engineer with strong backend development expertise and hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate has a proven track record of driving engineering best practices within teams and organizations while delivering scalable, high-quality software solutions.

This role will be part of a team responsible for building and enhancing transaction processing systems, developing new and complex backend services that are reliable, secure, and scalable. Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset are essential.

Required Qualifications

• 3–6 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong Full Stack Java development experience with a primary focus on backend engineering.
• Hands-on expertise with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience designing and developing distributed systems and microservices.
• Knowledge of software design patterns, testing frameworks, and modern engineering practices.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and solution-oriented approach.

Key Responsibilities

Software Development

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable software solutions with a strong focus on quality, performance, and user experience.
• Build and enhance backend services supporting transaction processing systems.
• Develop reusable and maintainable software components following engineering best practices.

Collaboration & Delivery

• Collaborate closely with team members through pair programming, code reviews, and Agile ceremonies.
• Work with cross-functional teams to solve technical challenges and deliver business value.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across the software development lifecycle.

Technical Excellence

• Contribute to or lead efforts related to:
  • Product configuration
  • Performance tuning and optimization
  • Automated testing
  • Production monitoring and observability
• Write and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and design specifications.

Production Support

• Participate in incident response and troubleshooting activities.
• Help diagnose and resolve production issues while ensuring system stability and reliability.

Mentorship & Leadership

• Mentor and support junior engineers by sharing technical knowledge and industry best practices.
• Promote engineering excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Collaborate with internal teams, third-party vendors, and the open-source community.
• Share technical expertise and contribute to broader engineering initiatives across the organization.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AI-assisted development tools and AI-first engineering practices.
• Cloud-native application development on GCP.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Exposure to high-volume transaction processing platforms.
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures and messaging systems.
