Location Overview

Cboe HQ is located in the historic Old Post Office district, it’s a landmark that blends classic architecture with modern amenities. The building features expansive spaces with high ceilings and large windows, offering an abundance of natural light and panoramic views of the city skyline and the Chicago River.

With its prime location in the heart of downtown, the OPO Building provides easy access to major transportation hubs, including Union Station and multiple CTA lines, making it convenient for commuters. The building is home to a variety of amenities, including restaurants, a fitness center, and collaborative workspaces, creating a vibrant and dynamic work environment in one of Chicago's most iconic areas.

The Senior Marketing Specialist, Institutional is the team's go-to executor, a versatile, hands-on marketer who makes sure the work gets done and gets done well. The role supports the full institutional marketing program across derivatives, Data Vantage, equities, and FX, spanning web, channels, content, events, reporting, and operations, and holds every detail to a high standard. It suits a detail-driven marketer who can juggle many competing workstreams at once and deliver consistently, on brand, and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the team's web presence, keeping institutional product pages accurate, current, and aligned with the latest messaging.
  • Manage projects with the execution teams that deliver email, social, paid media, and other channels, keeping deliverables on scope and on schedule.
  • Build and maintain the team's reporting and dashboards, providing the accurate, timely performance data the team makes decisions on.
  • Own the operational backbone of the team: marketing calendars, asset libraries, and project trackers that keep the work organized and on track.
  • Produce content from brief to publication, accountable for deadline, quality, and brand consistency.
  • Manage events and the full lead lifecycle, from capture through CRM to follow-up, converting attendance into qualified leads.
  • Own the compliance and legal review pipeline, getting content approved and live without bottlenecks.
  • Coordinate agencies and contractors, accountable for scope, schedule, and quality.
  • Step in across any business line or program as priorities require, picking up whatever the team needs to ship.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of B2B marketing experience; financial services is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ownership of marketing channels or programs end to end, with accountability for their performance.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to run several workstreams at once and hold them to a standard.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills.
  • Experience running multi-channel campaigns.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with strong follow-through.
  • Comfort owning data and reporting that others rely on.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with capital markets, derivatives, market data, or FX.
  • Experience with Salesforce, marketing automation (Marketo, Pardot, or HubSpot), CMS, social management, and analytics tools.
  • Event marketing experience.

Salary Ranges (applicable for US locations only)

At Cboe, we are committed to providing a competitive, transparent, and market‑informed total rewards program. The anticipated base salary range for this role is $98,175-$127,050, with actual compensation determined by job‑related factors such as skills, relevant experience, education, internal alignment, and location.

This role may also be eligible for annual incentive compensation and, where applicable, participation in Cboe's long-term equity programs.
