Occupational Health Technician - Sault Ste. Marie
The Occupational Health Technician is responsible for conducting specimen collections, including urine and hair for drug screening and alcohol testing and works diligently to provide accurate testing with a minimal margin of error in the testing and supporting paperwork. Professionalism and excellent customer service is
required towards all of the clientele and customers. Effective scheduling coordination is an important element of service delivery. The individual in this role must be driven to help others in a compassionate and caring way while balancing the pressures to deliver on scheduling requirements.
Salary Range: The salary range for this position is $41,800 - $59,200 yearly.

What you will do:
- Collection of specimen according to the DOT rules.
- Perform drug, alcohol and/or DNA tests following strict protocols, standards and contractual agreements. May be required to perform breath alcohol, auditory, and spirometry tests.
- Complete Custody Control Forms and Alcohol testing forms completely with no errors or omissions of information and the proper dispersal of same.
- Collaborate with third-party administrators, providing customer service and assistance when booking collections.
- Liase with third-party administrators for clarification of referral / LOI and any other issues that arise (i.e. delayed client).
- Accurately record and forward all required information and documentation to third-party administrators, following strict confidentiality and privacy protocols.
- Ensure that the training log and drug and alcohol binder remains up to date.
- Answering phone calls to coordinate and schedule tests with clients.
- Enter visits and/or services into billing system.
- Maintain and order testing equipment and supplies.
