Assistant to the Facilities Director - Holy Trinity Parish - Washington DC
About this role
Holy Trinity Catholic Church, a 230+-year-old Jesuit parish and school in Georgetown, Washington, DC, seeks an energetic, experienced person to assist our facility director in maintaining and managing our urban campus. Holy Trinity facilities office manages an operating budget of over $1.8 million dollars and engages contractors to perform work from a capital reserve budget of over $2.5 million.
The Assistant will perform a range of maintenance and administrative duties, including directing custodial staff and contractors, tracking and processing invoices, and dealing with a range of contractors. The best candidate will have experience in basic plumbing, carpentry, HVAC and repair tasks. Holy Trinity’s facilities operations are cutting edge with several energy saving initiatives and best practices coming on line. This position will have opportunities to learn and innovate.
The position is full-time with benefits and has a salary between 65-80 thousand dollars.
The successful candidate will have at least a high-school diploma, 2-3 years of experience in facilities, maintenance or construction work, ideally with a faith-based or educational organization. She/he will also need strong written and interpersonal communication skills, and proficiency in various disciplines (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry). Spanish language skills are a plus. You need to be able to work collaboratively, exercise discretion, and manage multiple projects in a dynamic setting. More information is available at https://trinity.org/jobs/.
