As an Oral & Maxillofacial Clinical Assistant, you’ll join a team of talented individuals who are passionate about what they do and committed to providing exceptional care. Whether you’re seating patients or preparing treatment rooms, your work as a Clinical Assistant keeps our team running smoothly and our patients cared for.
What You’ll Do:
- Supports the philosophy, goals, and objectives of the Practice.
- Clean instruments, laboratories, and treatment rooms.
- Stock rooms appropriately.
- Seat and recover patients.
- Complete paperwork in patient charts.
- Follow all clinical related policies and procedures according to practice standards.
- Complete clinical logs and follow cleaning schedules.
- Complete pharmacy logs according to practice standards.
- Follow OSHA, AAAHC, and practice clinical guidelines.
- Complete day-to-day functions in a proficient manner consistent with practice policies, procedures, and mission statement.
- Other duties as assigned by Office Manager.
What You’ll Need:
- X-Ray Certification preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated understanding of sterilization principles, required.
- Understanding of HIPAA, required.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
What It Takes:
- Experience with surgery or oral surgery in a medical or dental practice, preferred.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to assist with sedated patients.
- Prolonged periods of standing, stretching, lifting, and bending.
