Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Endoscopy center, located on Billingsley Road in Charlotte, NC. In this role, you will provide safe, effective, and high-quality patient care in both pre-procedural and post-procedural settings. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, detail-oriented, and thrives in a collaborative clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Educate patients and families before and after endoscopic procedures to ensure understanding and reduce anxiety
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established nursing protocols
- Monitor patient status, including vital signs and responses to treatments or procedures
- Maintain a safe clinical environment and adhere to infection control standards
- Assess patient conditions and promptly communicate changes to the physician and care team
- Respond effectively to emergency situations following established protocols
- Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the care process
- Accurately document all patient care in compliance with legal and medical standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain required competencies
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements
To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Qualifications:
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- 1-3 years experience in perioperative, postoperative, or endoscopy settings preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and patient education abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Demands:
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision and Ability to adjust focus.
- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
- The employee is frequently required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
- The employee is occasionally required to sit.
