Summary: As a PRN Endoscopy Technician, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our procedural team during endoscopic procedures. Under the direct supervision of the performing physician, you’ll assist with patient care, equipment preparation, and procedure support—helping ensure safety, precision, and comfort for every patient.

What You’ll Do

  • Set the Stage for Success: Prepare and arrange equipment and instruments in the procedure room according to instructions.
  • Support Patient Care: Assist team members with patient positioning and comfort.
  • Champion Safety: Participate in essential safety checks, including “Time Out,” with the entire team before procedures.
  • Keep Us Stocked: Maintain a ready supply of endoscopic tools and materials for smooth operations.
  • Be the Physician’s Right Hand: Hand instruments and assist with tasks during procedures as directed.
  • Document with Accuracy: Collaborate with team members to record interventions and patient care activities in the electronic health record.
  • Maintain Excellence: Clean, reprocess, and maintain endoscopes and related equipment per manufacturer guidelines and infection control standards.
  • Protect Specimens: Assist with tissue acquisition, labeling, and secure handling from collection to lab pickup.
  • Ensure Compliance: Track specimen documentation and verify accuracy in all reports.
  • Keep It Clean: Maintain procedure rooms to the highest industry and infection control standards.
  • Stay Safe: Follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Adapt and Contribute: Perform other duties as assigned within your scope.

Education/ and or Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • One to three years related experience and/or training
  • Maintains knowledge, skills, and abilities through ongoing education.
  • Completes all mandatory reviews/educational required and assigned.
  • Participates in performance improvement activities.
  • Is actively committed to meeting / exceeding employee expectations/satisfaction in the performance of job functions.
  • Retains all accreditations, licensures, and designations in good standing.
  • Maintains compliance with all laws and applicable regulatory requirements. Acts promptly to comply with required changes.
