About this role

The Food & Beverage Attendant is responsible for performing and supporting preparation, cleaning, and maintenance duties required in the kitchen and related areas at one or more Carnival Corporation owned and operated global destinations. This role assists with all tasks necessary to maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and efficient kitchen operations.

Cleaning & Sanitation:

  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen interiors, exteriors, and surrounding dining areas
  • Ensure all food preparation areas meet hygiene standards
  • Deep clean grills, hoods, tiles, equipment, and walkways
  • Support sanitation activities including waste removal, equipment cleaning, and pest prevention measures
  • Regularly check and restock cleaning supplies

Operational Support:

  • Assist with front-of-house maintenance during operational days
  • Provide logistical and operational support to the Food and Beverage team during peak service periods
  • Assist in organizing workstations for efficient workflow

Inventory & Supplies:

  • Assist with receiving, unpacking, and storing food and supply deliveries
  • Ensure proper rotation of stock (FIFO) and report shortages or damaged items

Safety & Compliance:

  • Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Assist with ongoing pest management treatments in kitchen and food service areas
  • Report hazards, incidents, and maintenance needs promptly
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned by management
  • Support other departments when required to ensure smooth operations

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Basic Education
  • CPR and First Aid Training

SKILLS & SPECIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of food health and safety regulations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Sound knowledge of food health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with data entry and reporting tools

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:  

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  

  • Must be physically fit.
  • Physically fit with the ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in an outdoor environment as needed.
  • May need to stand for long periods of time.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:  

  • Detail orientated with a proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to multi-task and think critically.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong planning and coordination skills, especially in handling multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • May be requested to work a shift schedule while at any of the destinations.
