CarePoint Response, Inc. (CPR) is Baltimore's comprehensive behavioral health crisis response system. Since 1992, we have provided compassionate, evidence-based behavioral health services to individuals experiencing mental health and substance use challenges.

Through crisis intervention, mobile response, withdrawal management, crisis stabilization, residential services, and community-based care, we help individuals and families find hope during life's most challenging moments.

Program Overview

CarePoint Response provides a comprehensive continuum of residential and outpatient behavioral health and substance use disorder services designed to promote stabilization, recovery, and long-term wellness. Our interdisciplinary teams deliver evidence-based, trauma-informed care that supports individuals experiencing mental health and substance use challenges while improving measurable health outcomes.

Our nurses play a critical role in ensuring safe, compassionate, and person-centered care while collaborating with physicians, counselors, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to support every stage of the recovery journey.

The Opportunity

CarePoint Response is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our interdisciplinary treatment team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to individuals receiving residential and outpatient behavioral health and substance use disorder services.

As a Registered Nurse, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while promoting safety, recovery, and positive health outcomes. Working closely with physicians, behavioral health professionals, and case managers, you will help individuals navigate some of the most challenging moments in their lives while delivering high-quality, evidence-based nursing care.

What You'll Do

Clinical Nursing Care

Perform comprehensive nursing assessments upon admission and conduct ongoing evaluations throughout treatment.
Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders, nursing standards, and organizational policies.
Monitor vital signs, withdrawal symptoms, chronic medical conditions, and overall client health.
Respond to medical emergencies and provide timely nursing interventions.

Care Coordination

Coordinate medical referrals, diagnostic testing, specialty appointments, and follow-up care.
Develop discharge plans and educate clients regarding medications and ongoing healthcare needs.
Collaborate with physicians, counselors, case managers, and multidisciplinary treatment teams to ensure continuity of care.

Documentation & Quality

Maintain accurate, complete, and timely clinical documentation.
Review medical records to ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.
Support infection prevention and quality improvement initiatives.
Participate in treatment team meetings, case conferences, and required trainings.

Professional Practice

Maintain client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and all applicable federal and state regulations.
Demonstrate professionalism, sound clinical judgment, and compassionate, trauma-informed care.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support program operations and client care.

QualificationsQualifications

Education & Credentials

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Current unrestricted Maryland Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
Current CPR/BLS certification required.

Experience

Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience preferred.
Experience in behavioral health, psychiatric nursing, withdrawal management, residential treatment, or substance use disorder services strongly preferred.
