We offer a variety of HR services, including leadership development, career development, employee engagement, transition coaching, and workshops.



The Role: Bilingual Virtual Teaching Assistant (1-3 roles)

Be the Human Glue in Every Workshop Experience

At CareerJoy, our workshops create space for growth, reflection, and practical change. As a Virtual Teaching Assistant (subcontract, part-time/casual), you’ll play a key behind-the-scenes role in making these experiences seamless, supportive, and smooth for both our facilitators and participants.

You’ll be the welcoming presence in the room, ensuring technology runs smoothly, participants feel safe and seen, and facilitators are set up for success. You’ll support virtual workshops hosted on Zoom and Microsoft Teams, primarily in English and French, representing CareerJoy with professionalism, empathy, and a solutions-first mindset.



What You’ll Be Doing

  • Log in to workshops early to ensure a smooth tech check (sound, camera, visual layout)
  • Greet participants and introduce CareerJoy, the workshop theme, and the facilitator, in both French and English
  • Set a welcoming, professional tone that fosters non-judgment, safety, and psychological trust
  • Monitor and moderate chat engagement in both official languages
  • Activate interactive workshop elements (polls, breakout rooms, screen sharing, etc.)
  • Flag participant questions for the facilitator, supporting engagement and flow
  • Gather facilitator feedback post-session and submit a concise internal report
  • Contribute to “Work Made Better” projects aimed at improving the CareerJoy Workshop Experience

You Bring:

  • A warm, confident presence and the ability to speak clearly in both official languages
  • Intermediate to advanced bilingualism in French and English (required)
  • Comfort with leading virtual spaces and interacting with diverse professionals
  • High attention to detail and strong time management
  • Confidence in problem-solving on the fly
  • Familiarity with Zoom and MS Teams (advanced experience is an asset)
  • A fast, reliable internet connection and professional home office setup (webcam required)

Availability & Contract Details

  • You must be available during core workshop hours: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm ET
  • Bilingual is a requirement of this position
  • MUST have reliable internet
  • Type: Subcontract / Casual (as required)
  • Compensation: $25–$30/hr, commensurate with experience
  • Start: Immediate
