About this role

We are looking for a Product Engineer with 0+ years of experience to own the front-end and UI/UX layer of Cardinal's AI-powered outbound platform. You'll be a startup-adjacent builder who can talk directly to customers in Slack, deeply understand their problems, and translate vague user requests into polished, intuitive interfaces. This role exists to unblock a critical design bottleneck — you'll take product tickets off the team's plate and ship beautiful experiences that make complex outbound workflows feel effortless. This is a high-impact role on a 5-person team backed by Y Combinator, where your work will directly power outbound for 40+ YC companies.

What will you be doing?

Engaging directly with customers in Slack channels to understand their pain points and translate feedback into great UI/UX

Taking ownership of product tickets involving front-end and design work, reducing the bottleneck on the team's sole designer

Building polished, intuitive interfaces using React/Next.js that turn complex outbound workflows into simple experiences

Interpreting vague user requests and breaking them down into well-designed product solutions

Collaborating closely with the co-founders and founding engineer to shape product direction and ship rapidly
