About this role
We’re building a talent pool of registered healthcare professionals to support future opportunities within our Clinical Scrutiny team, helping assess candidates applying to join the British Army.
This is a non patient facing role, ideal if you enjoy clinical decision making, structured work, and independent working, while making a meaningful impact behind the scenes.
About the role:
• Full time, permanent opportunities (37.5 hours per week)
• Home based - with some travel for meetings or CPD events
• Working within a supportive, experienced clinical team

What you’ll be doing
Reviewing candidates’ medical records and health declarations
Making clear, evidence‑based clinical decisions aligned to military standards
Accurately completing assessments and documentation on our systems
Managing a structured caseload and working to daily and weekly targets
Consistently applying professional judgement within agreed guidelines
What we’re looking for
You’ll be comfortable working in a target‑driven environment, typically managing around 8 cases per day, and will bring strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy to your work.
You’ll also have:
Current UK professional registration (NMC, HCPC or equivalent) with no restrictions on practice
Post‑registration experience as a Nurse, Paramedic or Physiotherapist
Confidence in making sound, consistent clinical decisions
Good IT skills and the ability to work independently whilst part of a wider team
