Job Description
Facilities Specialist Required Skills and Education:
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Demonstrates exceptional problem solving abilities with mindset geared toward effective resolution.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
Knowledge of maintenance management software.
Must have strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to follow-up on actions based on various team projects.
Must have high organization skills in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to perform and manage technically complex projects using independent judgment and personal initiative.
Ability to build strong internal and external relationships using effective verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to recognize and act on opportunities; adjust direction when situation warrants.
Ability to work independently without regular direct supervision.
Must be a provider of excellent customer service
Requires the ability to read, write and speak effectively in English.
- Must be flexible to work in various US time zones (Hawaii excluded)
- Education or equivalency: Requires a high school diploma or GED.
- Experience: Must have a minimum of two (2) years of facilities related experience that demonstrates an understanding of the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Facilities Specialist Job Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Director of Facilities Management, the Facilities Specialist supports all facilities activities. This position will be the first point of contact for internal and external customers seeking support and information from the Facilities department of Cadence Education. The Facilities Specialist will provide administrative support to the Director of Facilities Management and the Facilities department and manage functions including Work Order coordination, database management, daily office operations, coordination of procurement systems, and maintaining facilities records. Additionally, the Facilities Specialist will manage all outside vendors including maintaining records and contracts, coordinating project activities, and providing scheduling support.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Oversees Facilities related work order systems, assisting all Cadence campuses utilizing those systems, including receiving work request, assigning work orders, entering system data, and providing the overall system administration.
2. Coordinates all Facilities activities, work direction, and support systems. Independently maintains and updates administrative policies and processes.
3. Assists and supports the Director of Facilities Management in all aspects of project implementation and external contacts as needed. Supervises and trains facility employees and contractors as needed.
4. Sets up, maintains, and organizes the department's central files, information, filing, and messages. Assist facilities staff in locating parts, supplies, materials, and appliances.
5. Represent the Facilities Department in inter-departmental meetings to support and facilitate communication and action between departments.
6. Liaise with Facilities vendors to ensure timely service and complete customer satisfaction for all Cadence campuses.
