Are you a detail-oriented logistics professional who enjoys working with data, solving operational challenges, and making sure processes run smoothly?

We are looking for a Logistics Operations Analyst to join our Budapest-based Operations team and play a key role in ensuring cost accuracy, supplier performance, claims management, and operational transparency across Central & Eastern European markets.

In this role, you will work at the intersection of logistics providers, dealers, yards, Finance, Sales, and internal Operations teams, helping identify issues, improve processes, and ensure that logistics activities are delivered efficiently and cost-effectively.

What you will do

💰 Logistics Cost & Invoice Management

  • Review and validate PDI invoices submitted by yards and dealers.

  • Verify service details and supporting documentation before approval.

  • Process and monitor logistics-related costs, including:

    • Transportation

    • Storage

    • PDI services

    • Other logistics-related services

  • Work closely with Finance to ensure accurate and timely payments.

  • Identify invoice discrepancies and work with suppliers to resolve billing issues.

  • Help improve cost transparency and strengthen logistics cost control.

🚗 Claims Management

  • Identify potential transportation claims based on CMR remarks, delivery records, and other documentation.

  • Collect and assess evidence related to vehicle damage, shortages, and delivery exceptions.

  • Coordinate claim discussions and negotiations with transport providers.

  • Track claims from initial identification through to final resolution.

  • Maintain accurate claim records and documentation.

  • Develop and continuously improve standardized claims handling processes and SOPs.

  • Facilitate direct communication between dealers and carriers where appropriate.

📊 Logistics Data & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate logistics databases, operational records, and cost data.

  • Prepare regular reports covering transportation, storage, PDI, and claims performance.

  • Maintain well-organized records of:

    • CMRs

    • PDI documentation

    • Transport documents

    • Invoices

    • Claims documentation

  • Ensure strong document traceability and compliance with internal audit requirements.

  • Support Finance and internal audit activities through accurate and complete documentation.

📈 Supplier Performance Management

  • Track and monitor carrier and yard KPIs.

  • Analyse supplier performance across areas such as:

    • On-time delivery

    • Vehicle damage rate

    • Claim response time

    • Invoice accuracy

    • Storage performance

  • Prepare monthly supplier performance reports.

  • Follow up with logistics suppliers on corrective actions and improvement plans.

  • Identify recurring performance issues and support long-term solutions.

🔎 Operational Monitoring & Reporting

  • Monitor logistics exceptions and identify potential risks, including:

    • Long-storage vehicles

    • Delivery delays

    • Abnormal logistics costs

    • Outstanding invoices

  • Maintain logistics dashboards and weekly exception reports.

  • Perform root cause analysis to understand why issues occur.

  • Recommend practical corrective actions to improve operational efficiency and service quality.

🤝 Cross-functional Collaboration

You will work closely with a wide range of stakeholders, including:

  • Sales teams

  • Dealers

  • Vehicle yards

  • Transport and logistics providers

  • Finance

  • Operations

You will help resolve vehicle delivery issues, support logistics improvement projects, and contribute to initiatives that make our processes more efficient, transparent, and scalable.

What we're looking for

We are looking for someone who is comfortable working with numbers, logistics processes, suppliers, and operational problems.

You ideally have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.

  • 2+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain.

  • Practical experience with transport documentation, particularly CMRs.

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, and data analysis.

  • Good English communication skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to documentation.

It would be a plus if you also have:

  • Experience in automotive OEM or vehicle logistics.

  • Knowledge of PDI processes.

  • Previous claims management experience.

  • Experience with SAP, Oracle, or another ERP system.

  • Power BI knowledge.

  • Strong PowerPoint / presentation skills.
