About the role:

The Technical Sales Specialist is responsible for understanding technical products and services and translating their features into customer-focused solutions. The role acts as a liaison between customers and internal technical teams, ensuring solutions meet customer requirements while supporting business growth.

Working location: Fully Office-based, Hounslow, London

Main Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Analyse customer requirements and develop tailored technical solutions.

  • Deliver product demonstrations and technical presentations to showcase product features and benefits.

  • Provide pre- and post-sales technical support and guidance to customers.

  • Collaborate with Sales and Technical teams to ensure technical solutions meet customer requirements.

  • Act as the key technical contact for customers throughout the sales process.

  • Prepare technical documentation, proposals and product information to support customer requirements.

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships by providing professional technical advice and support.

  • Stay up to date with product developments and industry trends to provide accurate technical guidance.

  • Support customer enquiries and contribute to a seamless customer experience from initial enquiry through to post-sales support.

  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as required by the business.

Ideal candidate profile:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in technical sales, engineering support or a customer-facing technical role.

  • Experience within the commercial vehicle industry, particularly buses and coaches, is highly desirable.

  • Experience within the automotive, engineering or manufacturing industry would be advantageous.

  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to explain complex technical information clearly.

  • Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Customer-focused with a proactive approach to delivering technical solutions.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Willingness to travel across the UK when required.

  • A full UK driving licence is desirable.
