At Alisios, every dish tells a story and you play an important role in delivering that experience to our guests. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
As a FOOD RUNNER, you will help ensure a smooth and seamless service, delivering dishes with care and supporting the team in creating a positive and memorable dining experience for every guests.
Job Responsibilities:
- Deliver food to guests quickly, efficiently and accurately
- Warmly greet and engage with guests
- Obtain and maintain a working knowledge of all food menus, dishes, ingredients, substitutions, and allergens to properly educate guests
- Attentively scan the dining room for customer needs, empty server ware, refills
- Provide excellent customer service to guests, ensuring guests are enjoying their meals and have everything they need after delivery of food
- Take initiative to correct any issues that may arise with a positive attitude
- Keep food running station clean and organized at all ties
- Safely and neatly package leftovers and to-go items
- Promote an atmosphere of teamwork by assisting front of house team members including servers, bussers, hosts and bartenders
- Efficiently communicate food orders to back of house, paying close attention to priorities and special requests (e.g food allergies)
- Perform calmly and effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Assist with routine cleaning responsibilities
- Comply with health and safety codes
Qualifications:
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Positive interpersonal skills
- Service experience in a fast-paced environment
- Working knowledge of spirits, wine and food
- Awareness of basic safety and sanitation policies
- Able to acquire a California Food Handlers license, Sexual Harassment and Alcoholic Beverage (ABC) certifications (before or within 2 weeks of hiring)
