JOB PURPOSE

We are hiring a Trade Compliance Information Systems Manager to help shape the technology and reporting solutions that support Burberry’s evolving customs compliance landscape. Working across product projects, you will connect business compliance needs with clear technical requirements, partnering closely with business experts and technology teams. This role will play an important part in delivering practical, well-governed solutions that enable compliant, efficient and future-ready ways of working across Burberry.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Translate customs compliance needs into clear business and technical requirements, from early project discovery through to detailed testing documentation.
  • Partner with enterprise data, information, solution and development teams to support the design and delivery of effective systems and reporting solutions.
  • Map, visualise and deliver process changes in collaboration with business stakeholders, ensuring solutions are practical and well understood.
  • Uphold enterprise data and information principles across system and reporting development, supporting consistency, quality and governance.
  • Work closely with project and programme managers and solution architects to manage scope, assess change requests and support delivery decisions.
  • Prepare and facilitate workshops, user acceptance testing, end-user training and hypercare activity to support successful adoption and transition to BAU teams.

PERSONAL PROFILE

  • Experience delivering customs or trade compliance software, ideally within technology-enabled transformation projects.
  • Knowledge of SAP systems, such as AFS or S/4, and experience with MIC or another global trade compliance solution.
  • Experience contributing to IT project design, build and implementation, including at least one full project lifecycle in a business analysis role.
  • Confident working across Waterfall and Agile delivery environments, with the ability to elicit, document and communicate requirements clearly.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and business audiences.
  • A collaborative, curious and detail-conscious approach, with sound problem-solving skills and the ability to work across multiple priorities.
