Boston University Virtual is focused on the creation and support of high-quality online degree and certificate programs. We are seeking a Technical Producer II to play an important role in the preparation for and delivery of live broadcast class sessions for BU Virtual.  The Technical Producer must have demonstrated technical experience of broadcast studio equipment, as well as knowledge of broadcast and live streaming platforms. The Technical Producer oversees live broadcast sessions, maintains studio equipment for peak performance, runs equipment during the broadcast, and trains and supervises freelance contractors and student production teams.  This role operates in a professional office environment, as well as broadcast studios and production control rooms. 
 
This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position with hours that coincide with early morning and late-night live sessions held Monday-Thursday with future growth to Monday-Friday at the BU Virtual production studios.
 
Key responsibilities: 
• End to end technical production management using major webinar and major webinar and virtual meeting platforms (e.g., Zoom). 
• Managing the setup, wiring and operation of high-resolution audio-visual equipment, virtual routers, video switchers, digital audio consoles, Mac & PC computers and video recording software.
• Oversight and management of live broadcast sessions including professional contractors and student crew.
• Providing on-site technical supervision, overseeing all aspects of production preparation and live production, technical execution, and labor management. 
• Working closely with the teaching teams, fellow technical producer staff, and the Executive Director, Live Studio & Media Center Operations to on-board faculty and teaching teams. 
• Video editing
• Keeping abreast with industry trends and technology
