Job Title: Key Account Advisor

Working Model: Hybrid (2-3 days in the office)
Location: Pretoria, South Africa

Purpose of the Role

  • Deliver a dedicated, proactive and high-quality service to customers, internal stakeholders and external clients.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for Key Account, Global and International clients, while supporting other BSI hubs where required.

  • Ensure timely and effective communication with customers throughout the audit planning and delivery process, in line with established communication protocols.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Onboard new customers and accurately maintain customer and application data across BSI systems and program-specific platforms.

  • Act as the central point of contact for nominated accounts, providing end-to-end planning, scheduling and administrative support throughout the annual audit cycle.

  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Operations, Program Scheme Managers and Key Account teams to ensure seamless service delivery before and after sales.

  • Plan, schedule and coordinate audit resources, ensuring competent, compliant and cost-effective delivery.

  • Manage audit schedules, diary changes and rebookings, applying cancellation policies where appropriate while considering business impact.

  • Proactively identify resource gaps and escalate where necessary.

  • Arrange travel and accommodation in line with the business travel policy.

  • Drive planning performance by managing booked days, supporting delivery GP, resolving unbooked jobs and achieving planning KPIs.

  • Ensure audit reports, certificates, workflows and customer requests are completed accurately and within agreed service levels.

  • Create Sales Orders and ensure the timely closure of jobs within the relevant systems.

  • Maintain regular communication with customers, including planning customer visits, providing progress updates and participating in customer review meetings.

  • Monitor customer satisfaction, respond to customer feedback and escalate issues where appropriate.

  • Produce accurate reports, expense claims and other business documentation within agreed timescales.

  • Support business projects and collaborate with other BSI offices to deliver an outstanding customer experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Experience in planning, scheduling, customer service or account coordination within a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when managing customer information and administrative processes.

  • Commercial awareness with the ability to support cost-effective planning and resource utilisation.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable using business systems.

  • Good understanding of South African geography to support efficient planning.

  • Experience with SAP, PG and the Assurance Portal would be advantageous.

  • Previous experience in third-party audit planning would be advantageous.

Language Requirements

  • Business-level English is essential.

  • Additional language skills would be an advantage.
