About this role
General Description
The AI Operations Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day operation, enablement, and continuous improvement of the organization’s exploration engine. This isolated environment allows business teams to rapidly prototype and validate emerging technologies such as generative AI, digital twins, SaaS applications, and other cloud-based innovations.
In this role, you will serve as a key operational link between business users and platform teams. You will help shape incoming experimentation requests, assess infrastructure and access needs, onboard and manage users, support the lifecycle of prototype deployments, and build automation to improve the scalability, consistency, and maturity of the exploration engine over time.
This position is well suited for someone who combines strong operational discipline, business-facing communication skills, technical fluency in cloud/platform operations, and hands-on automation capabilities. The successful candidate will help ensure the exploration environment remains accessible, well-managed, and aligned with approved operating patterns while continuing to evolve it to meet growing business demand.
YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
Support the intake of new experimentation requests by working with business users, product owners, and innovation teams to understand needs, clarify objectives, and translate business ideas into operational and technical requirements
Assess infrastructure and environment needs for new prototypes, including compute, storage, connectivity, access models, dependencies, and required tools, while ensuring requests align with approved patterns and guardrails
Coordinate user onboarding and environment administration, including account setup, workspace provisioning, access changes, role assignments, and user lifecycle management in a shared exploration environment
Manage the operational lifecycle of prototype deployments, from setup and provisioning through deployment support, issue coordination, change handling, and retirement or transition to more formal delivery pathways
Develop scripts and automation to improve the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of operational processes such as onboarding, reporting, access updates, notifications, cleanup activities, and recurring support tasks
Define and improve reusable blueprints, templates, and standard provisioning patterns for common experimentation scenarios, helping reduce setup time, improve consistency, and support the long-term evolution of the exploration environment
Provide user enablement and operational support for the exploration environment through documentation, training, tool administration, troubleshooting, and coordination with internal teams and vendors.
YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
Experience in platform operations, cloud administration, AI operations, and technical enablement with the ability to work effectively across both business and technical teams.
Working knowledge of cloud platform fundamentals, including services and operational concepts around AI models, deployment, and use
Experience with identity and access management concepts including role-based access control, group-based provisioning, entitlement management, and user lifecycle management
Experience setting up and provisioning SaaS services from an identity, security, and integration perspective
Hands-on scripting and automation capability using tools such as powershell, ruby, and terraform to automate operational workflows and improve service efficiency
Familiarity with generative AI and LLM experimentation patterns, including common tooling, access considerations, and the operational realities of supporting AI-related prototypes in a controlled environment.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage business users, guide new adopters, and coordinate effectively with cloud, security, architecture, and platform teams.
A customer-oriented mindset paired with operational discipline, enabling you to support innovation while maintaining consistency, structure, and adherence to approved practices.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, including the ability to manage multiple requests, maintain documentation, and keep operational records current and accurate.
Comfort working in ambiguous, fast-moving environments, where experimentation, iteration, and evolving requirements are part of the normal operating model.
