Your Job:

The Footwear Product Costing Analyst, Asia plays a key role in meeting product cost targets and margins.  You drive Brooks’ footwear costing process by providing reporting and conducting analyses to drive cost effective processes and inform product and material decisions. This position will collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate product costing and contribute to Brooks’ overall profitability. The Product Costing Analyst I should have proficient understanding of the Footwear manufacturing process and capability a with numbers and strong analytical, organization, and effective communication skills in English and local language.

\nYour Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that all FOBs at each milestone stage are loaded into FlexPLM system; on time, accurately, and fully approved in line with costing deadlines.
  • Ensure end to end costing requirements are followed including reviewing CBDs, identifying key cost drivers, and providing recommendations to reduce costs in sample development stage, approving costs, effective pricing conditions, considering factors such as shipping and material costs and exchange rates and miscellaneous requests.
  • Collaborate with vendors to ensure they provide accurate and transparent product cost breakdowns promptly. 
  • Provide analysis to product teams to drive cost-effective processes and data to support product and material recommendations.
  • Prepare detailed cost comparison analyses between vendors to inform vendor decisions and enable management to question seasonal cost fluctuations and/or cost differences between vendors.
  • Participate as a stakeholder in weekly meetings at factory locations to understand potential changes and provide context to analyze cost impacts.
  • Ensure all costing timelines are met from the development throughout final stage.
  • Develop strong partnerships with key vendors and Brooks costing teams to effectively negotiate components and process costs. 
  • Assis Costing IE team to validate the data collection when needed. 
  • Increase awareness and understanding of evolving cost drivers of footwear products to inform analysis and recommendations. 
  • Create regular reports and presentations to communicate seasonal cost analysis findings to management.
  • Compile seasonal costing savings and report out seasonal cost learnings to cross functional teams at the end of each development season to document best practices and opportunities for future improvements. 
  • Maintain and update seasonal costing handbook.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Your Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with a focus in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, Business Management, Finance/Accounting or related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in footwear development, engineering, manufacturing, and/or material costing. 
  • Knowledge of footwear materials & construction and manufacturing processes and costing including strong understanding of cost drivers.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of integrity, remain flexible, be results-oriented and work within a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills – especially negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and spoken) in both local language and English.
  • Intermediate proficiency using MS Excel and Basic proficiency with MS PowerPoint.
  • Willing to travel when necessary.
  • Ability to work professionally and efficiently with all key departments including Global Material team, Asia/US Development, IE, Commercialization, Production, and QA.
