Role

Make a meaningful impact by leading the delivery of the country Education portfolio, including British Council global programmes in tertiary education partnerships, and client-funded initiatives. Ensure the successful end-to-end delivery of projects and programmes through effective contract or project plan management, stakeholder engagement, and the achievement of reporting requirements and compliance standards.

Accountabilities

Relationship & Stakeholder Management

  • Managing stakeholder and partner relationships.
  • Building strong internal and external networks.
  • Holding suppliers accountable for delivery.

Commercial and Financial Management

  • Supporting financial planning, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Monitoring budgets, expenditure, and financial performance.
  • Ensuring compliance with financial policies and processes.

Project Management

  • Supporting project planning, procurement, and risk management.
  • Managing data, monitoring, and reporting activities.
  • Ensuring quality delivery and compliance across projects.

Business Development

  • Supporting proposal development with EDI integration.
  • Collaborating on proposal costing and pricing.
  • Managing reporting for funded programmes and initiatives.

Qualifications

Essential: Degree and/or equivalent experience


Professional Qualification and Certification

Project management or equivalent qualification or equivalent work experience

Role Specific Knowledge and Experience

  • Experience of managing projects from start to finish and familiarity with project life cycles.
  • Understanding of procurement, evaluation and reporting requirements of projects.
  • Proven experience of managing project finances.
  • Experience of managing stakeholders 
  • Project management qualification desirable.
  • Hands-on experience managing projects or programmes across multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience of using technology and project delivery.
  • Good understanding and experience of supporting monitoring and evaluation.
  • Experience and understanding of the tertiary education sector including Transnational Education and Internationalisation agenda
