Company Description
The Warehouse Associate deals directly with our customers on a daily basis to ensure they have a positive experience. As a member of the branch team, this will primarily be accomplished through picking and loading our products directly to our customer vehicles, third party carriers, or our own company vehicles. This will be accomplished through the safe and efficient operation of material handling equipment, including by not limited to forklifts, in compliance of company policy and government regulations.
This position will regularly be asked to support other branch activities to ensure its success. This may include, but not limited to, assisting the branch manager and the location counter sales associates in the support of their duties, inventory management, and other duties as required.

Essential duties and responsibilities

- Strive for zero safety or property damage incidents.
- Report any safety incidents, near miss, or unsafe conditions in a proper and timely manner. Assist in any safety investigations to determine root causes and minimize future incidents.
- Ensure your PPE compliance and as a member of a team, help other do the same.
- Ensure that material handling equipment are operated in a safe manner in accordance with company policy, guidelines, and practices, and in compliance with government regulations. This includes but no limited to:
- Ensuring proper pre-trip and post-inspections are conducted.
- That licenses and certifications are current and valid.
- Speed limits are obeyed.
- As a part of branch team delight our customers by providing quality products and services which meet or exceed their requirements and evolving expectations. This is achieved through a commitment to continuous improvement and the pursuit of a zero-defect culture.
- Manage customer relationships and enhance the customer experience.
- Communicates in professional and courteous manner, daily with customers via face-to-face interaction, phone, e-mail, or other means necessary to provide best in class service.
- Engage in supporting and maintaining the efficient operation of the branch in accordance with current guidelines, policies, practices, and procedures.
- Proactively engage in the safe efficient operation of the warehouse:
- Shipping and receiving activities as required to assure that products are handled and stored in a safe and efficient manner.
- Proper picking of orders including managing first in, first out (FIFO) compiance.
- Receive returned product from customers – inspecting for damage, check packing slip for product accuracy, and securing returning product to ensure safe and undamaged return.
- Enhance and improve inventory management.
- Other duties as directed.

Qualifications
Qualifications, Education and/or Experience
- 2+ years of warehouse experience.
- Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
- High School diploma or equivalent combined education and experience.
- Strong interpersonal, customer relationship and decision-making skills.
- Effective and professional communication and organization skills.
- Ability to work effectively as a member of a team in a high-volume fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office software is a plus.
- HVAC industry experience preferred including warehouse and forklift operations.
Language skills
- Describe reading, corresponding, and language requirements
- Include presentation or training skills if needed
