Counter Sales Associate

York FD stores provide high quality and expedient delivery of the company's full line of residential and commercial HVAC ducted and ductless systems, Source One Parts, supplies and components. You will represent one of the leading brands in the HVAC distribution channel for York Factory Direct promoting York & Hitachi's portfolios to assigned accounts. We are seeking a friendly and customer-focused Counter Sales Associate to join our team in Little Rock, United States. As a Counter Sales Associate, you will be the face of our company, providing exceptional service to our valued customers and ensuring a positive shopping experience.

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries and purchases
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process transactions accurately and efficiently
• Maintain a clean and organized sales counter area
• Demonstrate in-depth product knowledge to help customers make informed decisions
• Handle credit cards and other payment methods with precision
• Resolve customer concerns and complaints in a professional and empathetic manner
• Restock merchandise and assist with inventory management
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive shopping environment
• Adhere to company policies and procedures to ensure smooth operations
• Assist in warehouse operations for shipping and receiving during high-volume periods

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively
• Strong math skills for accurate transaction processing
• Proficiency in operating Point of Sale (POS) systems
• Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly and supportive attitude
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask efficiently
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
• Basic computer skills and attention to detail
• Team player with a collaborative mindset
• Product knowledge or ability to learn quickly about our product line
• Flexibility to assist in warehouse operations when needed
• Regular attendance and punctuality

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous retail or customer service experience
• HVAC knowledge
• Forklift experience (willingness to become certified; training provided)
