Job Description

We are seeking a friendly and customer-focused Counter Sales Associate to join our team in Houston, TX. As a Counter Sales Associate, you will be the face of our company, providing exceptional service to our valued customers and ensuring a positive shopping experience.

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries and purchases
  • Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain a clean and organized sales counter area
  • Demonstrate in-depth product knowledge to help customers make informed decisions
  • Handle cash, credit cards, and other payment methods with precision
  • Resolve customer concerns and complaints in a professional and empathetic manner
  • Restock merchandise and assist with inventory management
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive shopping environment
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures to ensure smooth operations
  • Assist in warehouse operations for shipping and receiving when needed
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of retail or customer service experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • HVAC knowledge preferred
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively
  • Strong math skills for accurate transaction processing
  • Proficiency in operating Point of Sale (POS) systems
  • In-depth product knowledge or the ability to quickly learn about our product line
  • Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly and supportive attitude
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask efficiently
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
  • Basic computer skills and attention to detail
  • Team player with a collaborative mindset
  • Problem-solving skills to address customer concerns effectively
  • Inventory management skills
  • Willingness to become forklift certified (training provided)
  • Regular attendance and punctuality are vital for success in this role
