Job Description
Your contribution to something big;
- Managing the supplier relationship for a defined set of suppliers ("voice to the supplier") within the category and assuming responsibility for supplier-specific target achievement
- Negotiating contracts and business terms (e.g. corporate agreements, payment terms) and performing annual price negotiations
- Undertaking supplier risk management (preventive and reactive)
- Assuming quality responsibility in cooperation with the Purchasing Quality team
- Managing supplier capacities in cooperation with the Logistics team
- Managing escalations with suppliers (e.g. delivery, quality) according to the defined escalation model
- Actively contributing to the development and implementation of the category strategy by providing inputs from the region, product lines, and suppliers
- Managing and providing relevant purchasing data for ERP systems
- Leading RFQ processes when appointed by the respective category manager
Qualifications
What distinguishes you;
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field
- Several years of experience in procurement
- Good negotiation skills
- Analytical and professional working style
- Ability to work in a self-organized and self-responsible way
- Ability to contribute in an international business environment (good English skills, soft skills for working across different cultures)
- Strong personality to promote your own ideas across interfaces
