Searcy is hiring for a Head Golf Professional. Primary responsibilities include:

Assists in the preparation of the club’s annual golf budget and financials.
Has the ability to complete an accurate inventory count each month and has a firm understanding of cost of goods sold.
Operates the golf department within the budgeted payroll and adjusts it as sales increase or decrease.
Plans, promotes, and directs all golf activities.
Manages the sale, operation, billing, and collection of all golf tournaments.
Orders merchandise for the golf shop, providing the best selection possible within the constraints of inventory and ensuring the shop makes at least a 30% profit.
Develops merchandise sales and promotions during holidays, specials events, and times when sales are slow.
Provides golf lessons to all members and guests, overseeing the instruction program at the club.
Develops and conducts junior golf clinics.
Meets with the golf course superintendent as needed regarding playability and course conditioning issues.
Works directly with the club’s golf committee to maximize communication and execution of their priorities.

QualificationsRequired Skills

Strong communication skills.
Proficiency in Excel, Word, and club point of sales systems.
Understanding of Club financials.
Must have a thorough working knowledge of the club’s golf operation.

Walk and or stand for long periods of time, sit, bend, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and to lift overhead and push/pull, move lighter objects.

Be exposed to outside weather conditions including temperatures over 90 and below 40 degrees.
Work near: moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals.
