About this role

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Specialist, Accounting to join our Corporate Controllers – COE Product Accounting - Global Markets FX and Corporate Treasury team. This role is located in Pune. 

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: 

  • Oversee and contribute to the daily P&L production for (FX, IRD, FI&EQ and Capital Markets) including P&L validation, analytical review and investigation of Flash (Traders) vs Actual (Finance) P&L, commentary and sign-off
  • Manage the control environment for the products (FX, IRD, FI&EQ, FI) balance sheet substantiation, Journal entries, accounting activities, trade and GL level reconciliations, price testing, daily P&L production, breaks investigation, and partnering with the business with new product implementations and regional expansion. 
  • Govern daily controls and month end close process, including review of daily SOX controls, independent price valuations, FX exposure management, Loan Accounting, Investment securities portfolio Accounting, Value at risk backtesting, Hedging, monitoring and resolving on-going issues
  • Work closely with Front office, technology, operations and extended Finance teams to ensure timely issues management, development and enhancements to the existing process
  • Support internal and external audits with relevant documentation and analysis.
  • Ensure the accounting processes are robust, efficient, and well controlled
  • Work closely with the global process SMEs and overseas partners for the ongoing initiatives and provide support as required 
  • Contribute to project and process improvement initiatives as required. Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency in reporting and control processes.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following: 

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant with 3 to 5 post qualification Product Control function experience 
  • Deep understanding of Financial products (FX or IRD or Fixed Income and Equities derivative products) 
  • AI skills and have working knowledge of latest tools and technologies
  • Exposure to Front, Back Office and Financial systems 
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Highly self-driven, detail-oriented, and capable of reviewing critical work independently.
  • Experience of a fast moving, highly controlled, multi-national/functional organization
