Work Environment: This position is a hybrid role with expectations for 3 days onsite and 1 day remote.
POSITION SUMMARY: The intern will help the Digital Licensing team on the licensing and account relations needs, including market research, updates on industry trends, lead generation, prospect validation, and other business development assignments. The successful candidate will work closely with the team in providing business intelligence support in the form of analytical reports, memos and company briefs.
FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
- Update the 2026 Digital Trends Study and present key findings to the Digital & Media Licensing team.
- Research and discuss digital consumption trends across generations (e.g. Baby Boomers, Gen-X, Millennials, Gen Z, and Gen Alpha).
- Research various Direct-to-Fan platforms and other music industry trends.
- Help prepare deal notes for upcoming negotiations in the new fiscal year.
- Participate in the NY interns team project.
- Review data from various resources for prospecting purposes. Determine level of BMI music use.
- Research events/conferences for attendees, subject matter costs, etc., and update “Events” spreadsheet for review by Digital Team.
- Regular attendance.
- Other duties as assigned.

POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education: Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university as an undergraduate student. Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above. Must return to school in the Fall of 2026.
Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Detail oriented, self-motivated and organized
- Proficient in internet research, market intelligence and data collection/analysis
- Strong research, documentation and presentation skills
- Proficiency in MS Office/Excel/PowerPoint. Copilot or another AI platform(s) preferred.
- Proficient in multiple Social Media Platforms
- Comfortable using video conferencing tools: Tams, Zoom, Webex, FaceTime
- Comfortable with cross-generational collaborative environments
- Preferred areas of study or interests: Business Administration; Music Business; Digital Media & Technology; Media & Communications or Pre-Law
