Veterinary Technician - Theriogenology

BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking a knowledgeable and skilled Veterinary Technician to join their Brentwood, TN Hospital. This position will be split between the Internal Medicine and our Theriogenology department.

Schedule:

Pay: $21.00 - $41.00 / hour

This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through leveling system.

As a Theriogenology Veterinary Technician, you will...

• Schedules C-Sections
• Assisting in collection of Semen Samples
• Genetic testing to help minimize the risk of passing on hereditary diseases (ex: OFA radiographs)
• Assisting with Artificial Insemination
• Calculates all medical math including advanced and CRI (mcg/mg, %/mg, etc.).
• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia
• Set up for ultrasound and radiology procedures.
• Set up and assist with endoscopic procedures (GI, nasal, urinary, airway). Clean and maintain equipment following procedure.
• Discharge IM and Theriogenology patients from the hospital, including basic client education.
• Additional job duties as assigned.
