Birdcall Hourly Manager

Boulder · On-site$23 – $26

About this role

Description

At Birdcall, we make fast-casual food that's simple, honest, and craveable — and we believe the way we treat our team matters just as much as the food we serve. We're looking for an Hourly Manager to help lead shifts, develop our team, and deliver a guest experience worth coming back for.

About the Role

As an Hourly Manager, you'll oversee food production, guest service, and team performance during your assigned shifts, working closely with the General Manager and Assistant General Manager to keep operations running smoothly. You'll train, coach, and motivate team members while making sure every guest leaves happy.

What You'll Do

  • Run pre-shift meetings, set station assignments, and communicate the game plan for your shift.
  • Conduct line checks, monitor quality, and coach the team on food and beverage standards.
  • “Work the floor” during peak hours — connect with guests, resolve any concerns, and keep service on track.
  • Lead, train, and give feedback to team members to support their growth and performance.
  • Help manage labor, food cost, and waste during your shifts to support the restaurant's goals.
  • Uphold a safe, respectful workplace and make sure company policies are followed on your shift.
  • Complete shift administration — cash handling, banking procedures, and restaurant systems.
  • Communicate openly with management about product, procedures, or team concerns.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong communicator, fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Comfortable with basic math for cash handling and shift accounting.
  • Previous restaurant or supervisory experience preferred.
  • A natural coach — someone who can motivate and bring out the best in a team.
  • Able to obtain and maintain a valid alcohol service permit.
  • Available to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

What's In It For You

  • 80 Hours of Paid Time Off (PTO)
  • Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance
  • 401(k) with employer match
  • Free meals when working
  • Dining discount for you and a friend at any of our concepts
  • Dining discount at any of our sister restaurant locations — Gastamo Group

What It Takes Physically

This role involves standing and walking for most of an 8–10 hour shift, frequent bending and light lifting (up to 50 lbs, occasionally more), and working in a moderately noisy kitchen and dining environment. Some travel between local store locations may be required.

Birdcall is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all team members.
