Senior Manager Customer Planning
About this role
- Collaborate with leadership to lead and define customer strategies and objectives that align with BBU’s overall business direction, quantify the value of opportunities, and ultimately assess progress against goals.
- Lead the Customer Team’s monthly strategic planning reviews to analyze business performance for gaps versus plan and lead the development of gap closures/solutions for leadership teams.
- Lead the national annual customer planning process which includes strategic alignment and execution of brand expectations, communicating those expectations and meeting all deliverables.
- Manage all pricing strategies to avoid market disruption, optimize trade spend, improve ROI, and ensure any promotional activities are within Brand pricing guardrails.
- Ensure all Forecasting entries are accurately reflected in BBU’s Trade Promotion Management tool and gain alignment on all final forecasts with the Customer Executive Leadership Team.
- Responsible for recruiting, developing, and sustaining a diverse and high-performing team. Coach, guide, and mentor the team in managing and building their capabilities to provide career advancement opportunities within the organization.

- Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong written and oral communication skills along with MS PowerPoint presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Experience working and managing in a remote team setting under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable leveraging data resources, tools, with a high proficiency in building business models in MS Excel
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to determine key issues and develop effective action plans.
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Business-related field preferred. A combination of education, training, and experience that results in demonstrated competency to perform the work may be substituted.
- 5+ years in Customer Planning, Forecasting, Sales Management or other relevant experience.
- Knowledge of IRI data, ability to analyze the data and develop meaningful insights.
- Experience managing multiple direct reports.
- Strong work ethic, flexibility and ability to multi-task required in fast-paced DSD fresh bakery category.
- Computer skills and high proficiency, specifically in Power BI, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word is required.
- Previous experience utilizing Trade Planning Management / Trade Promotion Optimization Tools (TPM/TPO); specifically o9 Solutions (RGM/Retail Planning)
- Travel is required – 25%.
