Job Responsibilities
- Perform detailed cleaning and inspection of units prior to move-in, ensuring each apartment meets company standards for cleanliness and readiness.
- Handle minor repairs and maintenance tasks within units to prepare for new tenants, including painting, minor plumbing, and fixture replacements.
- Ensure all appliances and fixtures are in excellent working condition and the unit is staged appropriately.
- Maintain the cleanliness of exterior walkways, patios, and balconies associated with the units being readied.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to address any significant repair needs or upgrades.
- Conduct final walk-throughs of units to guarantee that all aspects of the make ready checklist are completed to the highest standard.
- Promptly respond to and rectify any issues discovered during the move-in inspection process.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed in each unit and report on readiness status to management.
- Uphold high standards of safety and cleanliness while working, ensuring all tools and supplies are stored properly after use.
- Assist in maintaining inventory of necessary supplies such as cleaning materials, tools, and replacement parts, notifying management when replenishment is needed.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding courteously to all tenant interactions during the make ready process.
- Other duties as assigned to support the maintenance team and property objectives.
Job Qualifications:
- Previous experience in maintenance, housekeeping, or a similar make ready role preferred.
- High School Diploma or equivalency.
- Knowledge of basic repair tasks, cleaning procedures, and proper handling and storage of maintenance and cleaning supplies.
- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for cleanliness, order, and aesthetic appeal.
- Strong customer service orientation and effective communication skills to interact positively with residents and team members.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
- Willingness to adhere to a professional dress code and wear company-provided uniforms during work hours.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing and walking.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.
