The Role
BGIS is seeking skilled Electrical Technicians to join our Self Perform team, delivering high-quality electrical maintenance, repairs, and minor works across commercial client facilities.
 
This is a permanent full-time shift role supporting essential airport infrastructure and electrical assets. You’ll be responsible for planned and reactive electrical maintenance across systems including emergency lighting, smoke alarms, switchboards, and general electrical infrastructure, ensuring all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to BGIS quality standards.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Deliver planned and reactive electrical maintenance across client facilities
  • Conduct fault finding, repairs, and upgrades across electrical systems
  • Service and maintain emergency lighting, smoke alarms, switchboards, and general electrical infrastructure
  • Complete work orders within required timeframes using BGIS systems
  • Support and mentor apprentices and junior technicians where required
  • Oversee and coordinate subcontractors when required
  • Ensure all works comply with WHS, compliance, environmental, and quality standards
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and safe work practices across service delivery
 
Your Education, Experience & Skills
  • Certificate III in Electrotechnology
  • Qualified Supervisors Licence (or equivalent electrical licence)
  • White Card (Construction Induction)
  • Current Driver’s Licence
  • 1 or more years of post-trade electrical maintenance experience
  • Strong fault-finding and electrical maintenance skills
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • ASIC Clearance desirable
  • Full working rights in Australia (essential)
