Software Engineer, AI
About this role
We are looking for a Software Engineer, AI with 5+ years of experience to join our small, high-impact AI team. We need an applied backend engineer who is passionate about productizing AI — someone who has shipped agent systems and LLM-powered features in production and is eager to push the boundaries of what AI can do inside a game engine. This is a top priority hire driven by our 10x revenue growth and the ambitious AI capabilities our game studio customers are demanding.
Responsibilities
Architect and build the core agent pipelines and AI workflows that power Bezi's game development assistant, directly shaping how developers interact with AI in their workflow.
Implement and experiment with new backend AI capabilities — from agents that process codebases and scene graphs to knowledge base builders that handle large document sets at scale.
Own and scale backend systems — APIs, queues, and data processing pipelines — to support a growing user base as we expand from individual developers to larger studio teams.
Drive technical decisions around prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and tool use / function calling across multiple LLM providers.
Design and implement evaluation and testing frameworks to ensure reliable, high-quality AI outputs across diverse game development scenarios.
