Job Summary

Under limited supervision, provides entry level regulatory and technical support to the international department by performing the following duties:

Essential Functions

  • Prepare technical documents for international product registration and shipments.
  • Assist in creating and managing product information files.
  • Review labels for compliance.
  • Help set-up testing for international products.
  • Perform scientific, regulatory, and technical research on dietary supplements, cosmetics, food, and manufacturing processes.
  • Must be able to handle multiple projects and switch between all at a moment’s notice.
  • Must have a positive, professional attitude and demeanor, and assist in improving internal processes utilized to serve the international department.
  • Must have a high level of interpersonal skills.
  • Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy.

Additional Responsibilities

  • May be required to cross train and demonstrate competency on all essential job functions within the department.
  • Support of and involvement in company, department, and/or safety policies, procedures, programs, and activities.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in a scientific or technical field from a four-year college or university.
  • Ability to read and interpret scientific and technical journals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to respond to common scientific and regulatory inquiries and to effectively present information to the international department.
  • Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing and spreadsheets.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
  • Ability to calculate product and chemical compositions and percentages.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Must be detailed oriented.

Physical Requirements

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
  • Employee must exert up to 30 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include near acuity, far acuity, depth perception, accommodation, color vision, and field of vision.
