Parts Delivery Driver

The largest dealership in Grand Rapids is looking for an additional Parts Delivery Driver to join our fourteen-time Dealer of the Year award-winning organization. We offer a team environment, great benefits, career growth opportunities, and ongoing support.

POSITION SUMMARY:
In this role, you’ll play a key part in keeping our parts operations running smoothly by delivering GM parts to Berger Chevrolet customers and supporting warehouse operations, ensuring customers receive the parts they need, when they need them. As a reliable and customer-focused team member, you’ll represent Berger Chevrolet on the road while contributing to a supportive, team-driven warehouse environment and overall team success. This position is onsite Monday – Friday (7am – until scheduled deliveries are completed).

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Safely deliver GM parts to wholesale customers in a timely, professional manner.
• Organize and prepare routes by arranging deliveries and efficiently staging/loading parts.
• Support team members by assisting with loading and unloading delivery trucks.
• Handle and process parts returns as needed.
• Other responsibilities may be assigned through continued employment.

DESIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma; GED.
• Prior delivery driving experience preferred.
• Must pass and maintain DOT medical certification.
• Valid chauffeur’s license required (CDL is also acceptable); candidates who do not currently possess a chauffeur’s license must obtain one within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to operate an automobile and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work and collaborate in a team environment.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Dependable, trustworthy, highly organized, and consistently efficient.
• Must allow pre-employment screenings, i.e., background checks, driving record evaluations, and drug testing.
• Must be able to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation and adhere to workplace health procedures as directed by the public health department.
