Overview
PURPOSE STATEMENT:
Provide administrative support to the education department.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Perform general clerical, receptionist and project-based work for the department.
- May interview new students and prepare their initial Academic Plan.
- Function as the school liaison.
- Confer with staff members, parents, guardians, teachers, therapists and administrators regarding Academic Plan.
- Meet and greet residents and visitors.
- Assist the Education Director with daily functions of the department.
- Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers always. When patient needs are not met, acknowledge and work to resolve complaints. Recognize that patient safety is a top priority.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
- Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:
- CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
- First aid may be required based on state or facility.
