Belmond Safaris is looking for a fixed term Lodge Manager to join our team
Purpose of the Job
The Lodge Manager is responsible for maintaining the smooth operation of the Safari Lodge and to provide leadership to staff, maintain lodge facilities and provide a high level of luxury hospitality.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure supervision of room allocations, smooth check in and check out and that all special requirements have been noted and actioned
- Be the guardian of the standards and to maintain standards of the Company in keeping with Belmond and LQA standards.
- Work alongside the Kitchen team to ensure high standards of food quality and offering during each meal period.
- Host guests during meals as and when required.
- Ensure proper stock rotation across all departments using expiry dates and being mindful of stock levels to avoid necessary ordering or expenditure.

- Ensure all guest reports, dockets and correspondence is completed accurately and punctually.
- Ensure on-the-job training is conducted with employees to maintain standards as well as areas identified for improvement through observations and guest feedback.
- Diploma in Hospitality Management, Tourism or equivalent
- A minimum of 3 years experience in a managerial or similar role
- Good English communication skills.
