Overview

Diagnosing Psychologist  - Lead with the mission

Help Families Find Answers. Change a Child's Future.

For many families, this is one of the most emotional and uncertain times of their lives. They have questions, concerns, and hopes for their child. You will be the first clinical expert they meet on that journey.

We're looking for a compassionate, confident, and highly skilled Diagnosing Psychologist who combines exceptional clinical expertise with genuine empathy. If you believe every family deserves to feel heard, supported, and understood while delivering accurate, evidence-based diagnoses, we'd love to meet you.

This is more than conducting evaluations - it's providing clarity, hope, and a path forward.

What You'll Do

As part of our interdisciplinary team, you will:

  • Conduct comprehensive autism diagnostic evaluations for children and adolescents using standardized assessment tools and clinical judgment.
  • Deliver accurate, timely, and evidence-based diagnoses while providing thoughtful recommendations for treatment and next steps.
  • Create detailed, well-written evaluation reports with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Help families understand complex information with compassion, patience, and confidence.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for every child.
  • Stay informed on emerging autism research, diagnostic practices, and community resources.
  • Support community outreach, program development, education, and training initiatives.
  • Travel to other clinic locations as needed.

Who You Are

You are someone who:

  • Is deeply passionate about helping children reach their fullest potential.
  • Understands that every diagnosis affects an entire family - not just a patient.
  • Makes families feel comfortable, supported, and cared for from the very first interaction.
  • Has exceptional attention to detail and takes pride in producing thorough, accurate clinical reports.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment while maintaining the highest quality standards.
  • Balances empathy with efficiency, understanding that every completed evaluation helps another family receive answers sooner.
  • Brings confidence in your clinical expertise while remaining collaborative and humble.
  • Is proactive, dependable, and willing to do whatever is needed to support children, families, and your teammates.
  • Maintains a positive, can-do attitude even during busy clinic days.
  • Enjoys building relationships within the autism community and staying current on best practices, research, and available resources.

Qualifications

  • PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology from an APA-accredited program.
  • Completion of an APA-accredited doctoral internship.
  • Licensed in a state where we operate.
  • Experience in pediatric and/or child psychology.
  • Strong knowledge of autism spectrum disorders, child development, psychological assessment, psychometrics, and diagnostic criteria.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Outstanding critical thinking and clinical decision-making abilities.
  • Commitment to ethical practice, diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Why This Role Matters

Families often arrive feeling anxious, overwhelmed, and uncertain. Your expertise helps provide answers. Your compassion provides comfort. Your recommendations provide direction.

Every evaluation you complete has the potential to change the trajectory of a child's life.

If you're looking for an opportunity where your clinical expertise, attention to detail, and heart for serving families truly make a difference, we'd love to welcome you to our team.

Travel: Approximately 20 - 40% to designated clinics and meetings as needed.
