Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
The Production Associate will operate, optimize, and changeover assigned departmental production equipment. Responsible for meeting/exceeding production standards, maintaining product quality, minimizing/preventing equipment downtime, and sustaining budgeted waste levels on a daily basis.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Operate production equipment within the Sharps Department, while meeting quality, productivity, waste, and safety goals.
2. Operate all packaging equipment, ensuring that product is properly packed and labeled per specification.
3. Participates as team associate in activities required to ensure successful daily operations of the Sharps Department.
4. Operates all equipment at acceptable quality and quantity levels.
5. Performs quality checks as required by specifications.
6. Maintains accurate production, downtime and quality check records.
7. Notifies technical personnel of equipment malfunctions.
8. Utilizes Batch Numbers as assigned in SAP.
9. Stamps Batch Numbers on shelf cartons and case cartons with correct product and batch information.
10. Performs general housekeeping duties throughout shift.
11. Observes all safety and environmental procedures and Quality Systems Requirements (QSR).
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor and required to support the needs of the business.
Minimum Requirement:
High School Diploma or GED
