Job Description

Functions and Responsibilities

  • Identifies critical equipment setting and creation of work standards.
  • Creates technical knowledge for the manufacturing unit and transfers the knowledge to the operator and technical associates.
  • Coaches associates on continuous improvement methodologies within the manufacturing unit.
  • Understands top losses within the manufacturing unit and develops and implements plans to eliminate losses and drive OEE performance.
  • Responsible for manufacturing unit change control including validation activities, root cause analysis of prioritized OEE losses, and quality deviations. Prepare work instruction / training material for process.
  • Lead and execute process validation and compile completion result; develop standards for material or process changes.
  • Lead in problem solving using continuous improvement methodologies and tools.
  • Implements and sustains BD Excellence work process for the manufacturing unit.
  • Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and best practices, and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Engineering Degree in Industrial, Mechatronic, Electronic, Electrical, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Troubleshooting / Problem Solving – Advanced PLC experience preferred.
  • Organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines and high–level goals.
  • Strong leadership skills to be able to manage time, and a problem solver.
  • Ability to influence and build good working relationships according to BD Values.
  • Effective Oral/written Communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Bilingual English and Spanish.
