Reports to: Senior Director of Revenue Cycle

 

Job Summary: 

Reporting to the Senior Director of Revenue Cycle, the RCM Systems Support Manager (SSO) combines the skills of an IS support professional with expertise in revenue cycle management. The role focuses on providing technical support for RCM-related systems and applications, while ensuring that revenue cycle operations run without interruption. The RCM SSO acts as a bridge between IS, software vendors, and the RCM team, helping resolve issues that can adversely impact claims processing, patient billing, revenue capture, and revenue cycle compliance.

Qualifications: 

 

  • Must have at least five years’ experience in implementing and maintaining RCM applications in a healthcare or human services organization.
  • Must have extensive background in medical billing systems, including comprehensive knowledge of electronic health records and practice management software (eHana and AR-Plus experience is desired, but other EHR and practice management software experience acceptable). 
  • Must have advanced knowledge of Excel (e.g., power query, complex formulas, pivot tables, and dashboard creation and maintenance).
  • Must be detailed oriented with strong interpersonal, relationship-building, analytical, problem solving, and time management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with RCM software, practice management systems, and EHR-integrated billing tools, including diagnosing connectivity problems, software errors, or configuration issues that affect billing and reimbursement.   
  • Manage daily operations of RCM IT applications, including software applications support, electronic forms management, and ensure that all updates have been installed in a timely manner. 
  • Provide AR-Plus support and guidance to RCM staff, and partner with eHana support staff to resolve issues impacting RCM.
  • Produce month-end and ad-hoc A/R reports, as well as reports from clearinghouse for RCM staff and Senior Director of Revenue Cycle.
  • Work with the IS department to design and implement reports from the data warehouse and all other record keeping systems. 
  • Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate and improve existing solutions and workflows, and train agency staff for new and existing systems.
  • Identify, assess and recommend RCM software application packages, assist and/or lead in their implementation and support the user base after deployment.
  • Ability to analyze, implement and train agency staff for all new business software applications.
  • Provide end users with assistance solving software application issues, and work with the appropriate vendor for solutions.
  • Provide guidance and assistance to end users to generate, analyze and distribute data reports based on end user specifications.
  • Provide support for all RCM software systems in order to help staff maximize utilization of system functionality.

Other Requirements:

 

  • Knowledge of HIPAA 835/837 professional transactions.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously to meet established deadlines.  
  • Attend required orientation and trainings, including local conferences and seminars in order to stay current with insurance and applicable regulatory changes.
  • Complete assigned recurring and special administrative projects in support of the RCM team and collaborating departments.
  • Respond to inquiries from internal stakeholders via phone, email, chat, or in person.

Pay Range: $90,000 - $95,000 Annual Salary

Community Partner and Health Home services for people with serious mental illness or long-term support needs, aiming to improve health outcomes through integrated healthcare and behavioral healthcare services.

Early Intervention Program promoting optimal development for children under three who are developmentally delayed, have a known disabling condition, or are at risk due to biological or environmental factors.
