Product Marketing Manager
About this role
We are looking for a Product Marketing Manager with 5+ years of experience to build our product marketing function from the ground up and establish Basis as the definitive brand for AI in accounting. You'll be joining at a pivotal moment — we just raised a $100M Series B, have no pure-play competitors, and are scaling rapidly from 140 to 200+ people by year-end. This is a net new role and one of the top four priority hires across the company. We need someone who has taken a product people didn't know about and created a compelling narrative that drove real adoption — think the first PMM at Ramp or Notion when they were just getting started.
What will you be doing?
Build the product marketing function from 0 to 1, defining positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy for Basis's core accounting, tax, and audit products
Create the narratives, decks, and demo storylines that enable our sales team to win faster across enterprise and accounting firm buyers
Drive brand awareness and thought leadership during a critical window where competitors are beginning to emerge
Develop high-leverage sales enablement content including case studies, ROI calculators, and product videos that fuel the sales funnel
Own competitive intelligence and partner with product teams to launch new features with clear market positioning
