We are looking to hire a dedicated Trade Specialist to join our team who will support our Trading Department.

Mission

Primary responsibility is the sale of exchanges and outright equipment within the Trading team. A secondary responsibility is sourcing and purchasing units from the market to support repair and exchange activities.

Objective

Maintain and grow the current level of business within the Trading operation.

Scope

Manage the sale and exchange of used LRUs (Line Replaceable Units) that are not covered under repair contracts or exchange programs.

Reports To

LRU & Trading Director

Key Responsibilities

  • Market Trading inventory and services to current and prospective customers.
  • Process daily customer requests for quotations, sales, exchanges, and related support.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and key driver for Trading activities.
  • Process Trading sales orders while optimizing inventory utilization.
  • Monitor and follow up on core returns after exchanges to prevent late fees and outright invoicing.
  • Support Accounts Receivable, as needed, in resolving customer payment issues.
  • Coordinate and ensure completion of core repairs and customer invoicing.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong sales and customer relationship management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Quantum, and industry part search platforms (e.g., ILS, PartsBase).
  • Excellent time management, active listening, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and perform effectively under pressure.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish.
  • Excellent record-keeping, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to complete assigned tasks accurately and within established deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in rotable program activities, Trading, or related aviation aftermarket operations.

These programs support operators in need of inventory, logistics solutions, repair management programs, engineering fleet support and component reliability management.

Barfield is also a Ground Support Test Equipment (GSTE) manufacturer of Air Data/Pitot Static testers, RVSM Air Data testers, APU testers, Cable Tensiometers testers, Fuel Quantity testers, Pressure testers, Nav/Comm Transponder test sets, Pitot/Static Adapters and Turbine Temperature testers.
